Over the past 25 years I have been asked thousands and thousands of fitness related issues. Invariably, the most important question is, with their hand patting his belly, how can I lose this? Large food companies have all laced with chemicals and preservatives so it lasts longer so they can make more money. God did not intend for all substances to be changed in our body. Thus, we find that many new diseases that seem to have no cause. I’ll tell you what the cause is the artificial sweeteners, artificial fats, chemicals and preservatives that we put in our mouths. We are what we eat. When you understand that your body is in a constant state of regeneration, “you are what you eat” means something quite different. Bear with me if this is old info, but it is very important. Every cell in your body is dead and buried in about a year. Your skin, your bones, muscles, organs, and even atoms and cells that make up DNA are in a constant state of degeneration and regeneration. Common sense will tell you that when we put in nutrient quality, the product will be a better quality of regeneration of cells. It has even been proved that the cells that make up a diseased part of the body as a tumor or cancer are totally dead and gone within 14 months. So if we can take to feed a high quality, reduce our stress levels, and visualize healing, there is a chance to regenerate healthy cells to replace diseased cells. It is a very sensitive issue that I think it is a time and place for western medicine which tends to use pharmaceuticals as a bandage to hide the symptoms of a disease or illness. They try to prolong the shelf life of natural food so that you have a chance to buy it. Over the shelf life of foods you eat, the shorter your shelf life will be. If it is out of the ground and rot, it is good for you! These companies are loading it with food toxins and poisons, it has been sprayed with pesticides, insecticides, fungicides and herbicides. Most foods on the shelves of a traditional grocery store have been injected with chemicals. The fertilizers that farmers use are all poisons and chemicals. My experience is that it’s something you become. What worked for my family is a commitment to organic food 25% of the time. Once you can prove that you can feel the difference that you can become a consumer of organic foods more often. The organic food industry is now a 14 billion dollar a year business in the U.S. business is so much more involved. The quality and significance of the organic label is undergoing rapid decline. Companies like Wal-Mart are pushing the limits of what can be called organic and are even trying to deceive people with organic signs and stickers in their stores. Buy local! If you want freshest, most nutrient-rich foods available, you can buy close to home. Farmers markets, community supported agriculture programs, food cooperatives are your best bet. I highly suggest that you Google search ‘quality organic food / farmers market or your city and state “and go visit these farms or markets. Some of these farmers can not afford or want to obtain organic certification for sale, but simply because they are not certified does not mean that their production is not the highest quality. With a little leg work, you’ll soon be able to find high quality organic food close to home. As I did, you may be able to set up delivery points with a couple of farmers to add a bit of convenience. Find nearby high-quality organic foods at home is not as difficult as it seems. The key is to look for farmers who practice the principles of organic farming and production of small quantities of food.
